Anime Club with Ms. Seeley
Also known as Japanimation, Anime is an art form and a huge part of Japanese culture and entertainment for all ages. Fully animated features with character development, Japanese folklore, history, martial arts, science fiction, and visually advanced imagery are all part of Anime. This club is a place for anyone who is interested in anime, manga, drawing, comics, and cartoons. We will be drawing, doing anime related crafts, playing games, having discussions, and of course, watching anime while also experiencing and learning about Japanese culture through the media of Japan, and seeing its influence on other cultures.
Art Club with Ms. Seeley  
Students will be able to practice their painting and drawing skills. Students with tablets/ iPads that have access to Procreate can create digital artwork as well.
Bombardment with Mr. Riley
Hanson Middle School’s most intense gym activity. Battlefield is a strategic dodgeball game where you have to see if you have the guts and skills to survive the longest and can lead your team to glory. In addition to battlefield we will play poison, prison dodgeball, and doctor dodgeball.
Chorus with Ms. Mulcahy
Chorus is available to all students interested in singing in Hanson and Whitman Middle Schools.
Craft Club with Mrs. McNamara
Allows students to be creative by exploring two-dimensional and three-dimensional art, photography, and graphic design. Students will have the opportunity to create and share their own creative designs. Craft Club is to provide students with a creative, comfortable atmosphere to learn and create crafts that can be worn, useful, and decorative. 
Diversity Club with Ms. Dempsey
Ongoing throughout the school year. Diversity Club is an opportunity to learn about, and show allyship toward, populations of people who may be unlike oneself. We aim to provide a safe space for all students regardless of differences in identity or ability. The group plans to host thoughtful discussions, book and movie reviews, crafts, projects, and other fun activities with the goals of broadening our understanding of others and building community. Diversity includes individuals of varying backgrounds, cultures, races, lifestyles and expressions, differences or disabilities.
Drama club  with Ms. Storey and Mrs. Foley
Starts at the beginning of October and runs until May. The members sign up and receive roles at the start of the year and then spend the rest of the school year working towards their final performance. Typically the show is the second week in May with three performances (Friday Night, Saturday Matinee, and Saturday Night) We have rehearsals on Mondays & Tuesdays until 3:50. Game Time with Ms. Cogan
Gives students the opportunity to socialize and have fun together while playing games. Students will have an opportunity to play video games, board games, and card games, both cooperatively and competitively. All games will be suitable for a middle school audience.

Continues this year with our experienced cast & crew.

Meets monthly and is open to all grades.

Meets weekly in the fall, we attend meets off-site against area teams.
Cross-country
Meets weekly in the spring and also attends meets off site.
